PlayerPro uses the Android mediastore (and media scanner) as media library. It is the Android standard and recommendation and allows for openness and interoperability between Google apps and all music/video players on the Google play Store. In addition, it allows to follow Android's evolution closely and remain compatible as new features are added.

As any software, the Android mediastore comes with it's lot of bugs ... some of them may affect PlayerPro's users. The following list concentrates the known bugs. Don't hesitate to "Star" them, even if they are not affecting you directly (they could some day). The more stars the bugs receive, and the faster they will get fixed by Google developers:

1/ [FIXED] Composer tag is null for m4a files
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/158366806

2/ [WON'T FIX] Year tag has '0' value for flac/Ogg files
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/158367283
Workaround suggested by Google: the date format must follow this format "YYYY:MM:DD HH:MM:SS"

3/ [FIXED] Playlists with external storage are broken in Android 10
