Smart Playlist Bug

Post by telrod11 »

@tristan
I use Smart Playlists to randomize my music, which should allow me to listen to my entire library with no repeats.

I started with the rule "Play Count = 0", but this just didn't work for me, as it seemed when songs would start and stop (when I manually started and stopped the player), the count was just wildly inaccurate.

Then I thought I had this figured out by using "Last Played" as my rule. I could create a rule, as I have below that states "Last Played was before 8-2-23".

So in theory, no song should be playing, if it's been played after that date, correct?
Well, it doesn't appear to work that way; This song played yesterday, and again today:

Isn't all that info kept in Mediastore? If it is, why would it allow this to happen?

I've gone as far as creating an automated task in Tasker, refreshing the MediaStore, but I still see the problem.

Can you please advise on what I might do to remedy this?

Thanks
